Getting Creative at the Clubhouse! 🎨

On Monday, our group got creative with string painting! We had so much fun experimenting with colours, patterns, and different techniques to create our own unique pieces.

It’s always so great to see the creative takes everyone brings to the same project, no two paintings turned out the same! 💙

Tomorrow at the HBIA Clubhouse!

We invite you to join us tomorrow from 1:00–2:00 PM at the HBIA Clubhouse for an important presentation with Stacie Dertinger from Anchor Rehabilitation on Navigating Intimacy and Sexuality After Brain Injury.

Intimacy and sexuality are important parts of quality of life and holistic rehabilitation, yet they are often overlooked when discussing life after brain injury.

This presentation will go beyond clinical definitions to explore practical strategies for survivors to rebuild emotional safety, communication, and physical connection after brain injury.

Brain injury can affect relationships and intimacy in many ways, including changes in desire, communication, emotional recognition, and behaviour. These changes are often neurological and cognitive not a failure of motivation or character.

Join us for an open and informative conversation about a topic that deserves more attention and understanding.

📅 Tomorrow | 1:00–2:00 PM
📍 HBIA Clubhouse B 20 King Street West, Stoney Creek

Monday was full of summer fun at the Clubhouse, and it happened to be National Smores Day! 🍫🔥

We enjoyed some delicious smores, made friendship bracelets, identified animal footprints, went “fishing,” tackled a scavenger hunt, and so much more! 🐾🎣🔎

It was a day filled with creativity, laughter, teamwork, and plenty of fun with friends. We’re already looking forward to our next Summer Camp Day! 💙
