The Canadian Army.

Updated with The Canadian Royal Crown, the official heraldic emblem representing the Sovereign’s authority, the Canadian monarchy, and the state's power in Canada.

Approved by King Charles III in April 2023, it replaces the traditional St. Edward's Crown on official government identifiers, military badges, and the Coat of Arms.

On June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, Canadian soldiers stormed Juno Beach in Normandy as the Allies began their efforts of driving the German military out of France and liberating Western Europe from N**i occupation. The Allies suffered more than 10,000 casualties on D-Day including 1,074 Canadians, 359 of whom were killed. By the time the Allies were able to win the Battle of Normandy 5,021 Canadians paid the ultimate sacrifice.

It was on this day in 1944, that final preparations began for what would be known as “D-Day.”

The following morning, June 6, 1944, Canadian Forces landed on Juno Beach, one of several Allied landing sites on the northern coast of France. This was the start of the liberation of France and the retaking of Europe from N**i control.
