Good afternoon

Although the H.M.A.N.V.S. is physically closed, it lives on in the memories of our members. Our members were our #1 supporters, we're a family, and any loss of a member is greatly felt by all.

Sadly, there is some sad news to announce.

Longtime member Maggie McDonald, wife of former H.M.A.N.V.S. president, the late Paul Wintemute, has passed away this morning.

Maggie has been a staple at the Wednesday summer darts for many many years. Her and Paul put their lives into the H.M.A.N.V.S. and it's members. I will always remember her.

Details as to funerals and such will be shared as when they become available.

Rest in Peace Maggie

The end of an era is upon us. Tragically, Her Majesty The Queen has passed away at the age of 96.

Queen Elizabeth II has reigned since 1952.

Although we are now closed, we will always remember our roots and we hope all Canadians will remember that as well

Please join us in saying God Save The Queen for the last time 💙

Good afternoon, this is Brad Vinette.

On behalf of the H.M.A.N.V.S. I'd like to extend a special Happy Birthday to Reverend Francis Chisholm.

For those who don't know, Rev. Chisholm, a WW2 veteran, has served for many years as the Padre for the RHLI, but he has done so much more for everyone, including for the H.M.A.N.V.S.. Everything from the Garrison Parade to the Warplane Heritage Museum's Remembrance Day Service to the RHLI Dieppe Memorial Service and even taking part in the Dieppe Memorial Service in Dieppe, France.
He also participated in the H.MA.N.V.S. Lost Monument Parades, where he obliged our request for him to be the service's Padre.

His accomplishments and accolades would be too long to list here. I'd like to take a moment to thank him for all he has done for everyone, and especially the H.M.A.N.V.S., over the years.

I hope you have a great day and cheers to many more to come 🥂

Good morning.

There is no easy way to say this, so let's just say it: The Her Majesty's Army & Navy Veterans Society of Hamilton is closing. The final day will be Saturday July 30, 2022

This decision was not made lightly. This was made only after using all other possible means of survival. Unfortunately, as our regulars move on and less new regulars join, combined with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, to which we were not immune, this has led to us no longer being able to feasibly remain open.

Details of the closure, such as what will happen to all the items in the basement, will be announced at our next general meeting (details below).

On behalf of the executive, and all of our members, thank you everyone for your support over the last 125+ years

Our next General Meeting is scheduled for June 19 2022 @ 2:00pm
