Today, we gathered together for our first annual Memorial Day Service, taking time to remember and honour the residents we have lost over the past year.

Family members, friends, residents, and team members came together to share beautiful memories, stories, and reflections, celebrating the lives, friendships, and lasting impact of those who called Caroline Place home. Through heartfelt words, music, and moments of remembrance, we were reminded that while our loved ones may be gone, they will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this meaningful gathering so special. Their memories live on in our hearts and in the Caroline Place family.

Caroline Place Retirement Residence is proud to partner with the Hamilton Council on Aging to host a meaningful and engaging Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Workshop designed specifically for professionals working with older adults across Hamilton.

Facilitated by Cole Gately of Intersecting Consulting, this interactive session will explore important topics including:
✔️ Unconscious bias
✔️ Allyship
✔️ Ageism
✔️ Cultural awareness
✔️ Social positioning
✔️ Inclusion & belonging

Participants will be encouraged to reflect, engage in discussion, and explore practical ways organizations and services can become more welcoming, equitable, and inclusive for older adults in our community.

🌞 Today we enjoyed spending time in the garden, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air while playing a word game together. Everyone put their thinking skills to the test while enjoying a relaxing afternoon outdoors. Days like these are a great reminder of how enjoyable simple moments outside can be!
