Results from yesterday’s election state that I will have more time to be a new Grandma!! 👶🏻❤️👵🏻

Thank you to everyone who supported me in the last 8 years on council!!

I have grown immensely and am proud of the work I have done for this region. I was fortunate to have met and worked with some amazing and passionate people locally and through out the province.
I will continue to serve in my community in different ways.

I wish all the best to council! They have the region’s best interests at heart. To the staff at the county, you are reason things run so smoothly and you are so appreciated, never doubt that. 🏆
To the residents of the county, I encourage you to contribute in places you think need improvement not criticize. 🙌🏻
To ask questions and become informed rather than fill in the blanks with negativity. ❤️
Support your elected officials and county staff wherever possible as you likely have the same goals of success. 👬
I will always advocate for discussions on mental health and ridding the world of its negative stigma. I will also add to my mission the better treatment of elected officials and gov’t staff by those who don’t agree with their decisions. I am sorry to say that my husband and I experienced that first hand from a certain group and it should be unacceptable in today’s society. Full stop.🛑

I am excited to not only spend more time with my family and farm but also to pursue my passions of painting, public speaking and advocating for support and happiness in others rather than criticism. 🎨🎤❤️

Once again I thank the residents of the county for allowing me to represent them and advocate for this region!
It was my honour to do so. 🥰

Great example of municipalities working together for our communities

Slopes Stabilization Work - Valley Ski Hill
The Valley Ski Hill - aided by joint funding from both the County of Paintearth and Flagstaff County – have engaged an alpine terrain contractor to remediate the drainage and instability issues of the ski hill’s runs and terrain. The work involves contouring, better drainage routes and methodology along with other improvements to the existing snowmaking and lift line runs.
After a couple years of extensive reviewing of options, engineering reports and various consultants and their methods, the ski hill has found a suitable and reputable contractor to perform the work – similar to work he has done on other ski areas ranging from Fort McMurray to Lake Louise.
The work is expected to wrap in mid October in time for the upcoming winter season. The VSH has also applied for provincial grant funding to help alleviate the project’s expenses.
