What does a pop can, water, string, and a nail have to do with turbine engines? Our Level II cadets showed last night that an equal and opposite reactive force, as described by Newton, can cause an object to spin!

Air cadets learn about turbine engines to enable them recognize different propulsion systems and what it means for different types of aircraft.

MLA Suzy Hansen - MLA for Halifax Needham speaks virtually with cadets and staff at 292 Air Cadet Squadron about politics and African Heritage Month in Halifax on Feb, 23, 2022.

Hansen was invited to speak to the squadron of over 30 youth from the Halifax and Fairview communities about African Heritage Month in Nova Scotia. Cadets and staff asked Hansen questions about her background in the community, the challenges and opportunities she has faced, and her journey to the legislature in the 2021 provincial election.

This year’s theme for Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs Heritage Month is “Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians,” and encourages listening to others’ perspectives, interpretations, and views on the world to gain a more meaningful understanding on how to make the world a better place.
