NEW TO YOUR ADDRESS? HERE’S AN FYI 📬

Have you recently moved into a new home or newly established address in MODG?

If you’re not receiving the Municipality’s newsletter and other community information delivered through Canada Post, check with your local post office to make sure your address is set up for mail delivery.

Our newsletters include important information for residents, including municipal updates, programs and services, community events, and Emergency Management Organization (EMO) information and resources.

You can simply ask:

“I’ve recently moved into this residence and I want to make sure I receive the municipal newsletter and community information that is delivered through Canada Post. Can you check that this address is set up for mail delivery?”

A helpful tip for anyone new to their home or community!

Please see the notice below regarding increased traffic activity associated with the commencement of construction at our Goldboro, Nova Scotia site. To help ensure the safety of all road users, NexGold will have certified traffic control personnel (flaggers) on site to direct traffic as needed. We encourage motorists to use caution when travelling through active work areas and to allow extra time for their commute.

Reminder to residents; there will be no Waste Collection Labour Day, September 7th, 2026, resuming Monday, September 14th.

The following MODG facilities will also be closed on Monday, September 7th:

🏛️ Municipal Building
🏀Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex (CLC)
🏒 Canso & Area Recreation Complex
🎟️Members will have access to the fitness centre with their fobs.

With the rainfall event forecasted for this long weekend, we want to remind residents to ensure drainpipes, eavestroughs etc., are clear and free from debris.

Localized flooding is a real possibility, so please take precautions by avoiding waterways and low-lying roadways.
