Lyon Pool’s makeover is underway! Here’s a sneak peek at what we have to look forward to in summer 2027! This render is just a general idea, and is subject to change.

Some new features we’re excited about are the better accessibility features for entering the pool, like a ramp and gradual beach-style entry. We’ll also have a four-lane 25m lap pool!

Closure alert: Due to a water main break, Victoria Road Recreation Centre will be closed today, June 11, until 3:30 p.m. All rentals and programs taking place between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. have been cancelled. City crews are currently repairing a water main break on Victoria Road between Brunswick Avenue and Hadati Road.

UPDATE - June 11, 9:07 a.m.: Work to repair the water main break is ongoing. Traffic is in the northbound lanes are experiencing a complete closure between Cassino Avenue and Hadati Road due to the location of the repair. Southbound is reduced to a single lane. Expect delays in the area.

Any changes or cancellations to planned programming or rentals at the Victoria Road Recreation Centre will be communicated to those registered or directly to those affected. Updates will be posted on the recenroll.ca homepage as they become available.

🚧Heads up, Guelph: Starting June 15 for about six weeks, traffic lanes will be reduced on Edinburgh Road South, between Young Street and Floral Drive. Please follow the posted signs.

Thank you for your patience while sewer and water services are installed and the road is repaved to support a new housing development.
