Municipal Law Enforcement Officers' Association of Ontario This broad coverage provides members with an interesting diversity of experiences to draw up Act 1997 which, received Roayl Assent on July 21, 1997.

The Municipal Law Enforcement Officers' Association represents over 250 municipalities and 2200 individual officers throughout the Province of Ontario and abroad. The MLEOA is the only organization and governing body authorized to issue certification to Municipal Law Enforcement Officers in Ontario. This authorization was granted through Bill Pr83, Municipal Law Enforcement Officers' Association (Ontario)

Day 4 of the MLEOA Conference is underway!

This morning, attendees are hearing from Colin Bowie of the Ottawa Police Service on Guns and Gangs: Current and Emerging Trends.

The presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion, creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, shared perspectives, and collaboration among municipal law enforcement professionals.

As the 2026 MLEOA Conference comes to a close, thank you to all MLEOA members, speakers, partners, and attendees for making this year’s conference a success.

A special thank you to the 2025–26 Board for its leadership and commitment throughout the year. Congratulations as well to the returning Board of Directors! We wish you continued success in the year ahead.

K9 Security Operations – Guardians of the Perimeter Specialized operations focused on safety, professionalism, and problem-solving.

Provincial Animal Welfare Services – Aligning Standards Integrating the PAWS Act with local by-law enforcement.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honour the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, public servants, and everyday people who answered the call in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Municipal Law Enforcement Officers stand with communities across Canada and around the world in remembrance. We also recognize the lasting impact on the families, colleagues, and survivors whose lives were forever changed.

- Registration opens at 4pm
- Don't forget to check in to your room
- The Board Social will be held in the Kanata Salon from 7:00 to 9:00pm

Monday
- The evening social is at Oh Canada Eh
- Please be downstairs and ready to board the bus by 5:00pm

Wednesday
