Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps AJAX is a youth organization in the City of Guelph, and part of a the Canadian Cadet Organization working in communities from coast to coast. This page is provided for use by current and potential cadets, parents, staff and our NL Branch members
Mission
To instill in youth: the values of leadership and citizenship; promote physical fitness, and stimulate a
n interest in the Royal Canadian Navy. General Information
Sea Cadets learn sailing skills and seamanship skills (knots, ropework, naval communications), power boat handling, leadership, instructional technique, and teamwork. For any cadet that has the desire and dedication to participate in the band, we will provide music instruction. The Guelph Sea Cadets also participate in parades, ceremonial events and citizenship activities connected to our local and Canadian naval heritage. We meet for regular training Wednesday evenings form 1830 – 2130 (6:30pm – 9:30pm)
There are weekend activities scheduled throughout the year from September to June including a sail weekend, nautical themed weekend, and 4 training days. There is no cost to join, and uniforms are provided.
