This exceptional park features accessible playground equipment, splashpad, outdoor exercise equipment, gazebo with picnic table, walking path, two outdoor skating rinks (one is paved for multi-purpose use year round), basketball hoo

ps, and fieldhouse. Within the fieldhouse, there are two accessible washrooms, volunteer-run canteen, free games. Ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and pool table are free to use. Always looking for volunteers to sit on the association, flood the ice in the winter, shovel snow, staff the canteen and to help with special events. The rinks and sliding hill at Ridgecrest are ready for fun!!
This year, O’Sean and Ethan are our part time city staff at Ridgecrest.
The hours they will be at the fieldhouse are:

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - 5 to 9 pm
Saturday & Sunday - 12 to 6 pm

If we can get volunteers, we can open the canteen. DM us if you know someone willing to help.

Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperative and the long-range forecast does not look promising for the next week or two. In order for rink preparation to start, a base of snow and consistent cold weather is needed to build the ice surface.
We thank you for your patience!
We are looking forward to another winter season of fun at Ridgecrest Accessible Playground. We will let you know when the rinks are ready for skaters! Stay tuned and have a happy holiday season!!

Come hear about volunteer opportunities at our accessible playground and plans for the winter.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Looking to give back and help make our neighbourhood a better place? Please consider joining the Ridgecrest Accessible Playground association!
The city provides the park with a small amount of money each year for events and improvements and we are looking for someone new to lead the charge.
Plans are in the works to hold a return of New Sudbury Days this summer and we need someone who would be willing to step up and help lead the organization. Very small time commitment involved, but big reward!
