I’m proud to call The City of Timmins home, and Cedar Meadows Resort & Spa is one of the many reasons visitors should add the city with a heart of gold to their northern Ontario itinerary.

Known for its onsite wildlife tours and conveniently located, Cedar Meadows offers a way to connect with nature without venturing far from the city. Come see bison, deer and wolves while experiencing the natural beauty that makes our region so unique.

If you're looking for a true wilderness experience, explore Northern Ontario and make sure to discover everything Timmins has to offer.

It has been a busy few weeks for the Destination Northern Ontario team, with staff attending a range of conferences, meetings, and industry events across the province to strengthen partnerships and support tourism growth in the North, and the momentum continues.

The schedule began in Thunder Bay at the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association Conference, followed by meetings at Queen’s Park in Toronto with provincial representatives to advocate for tourism as a key economic driver.

The team then met in Greater Sudbury at Science North & Dynamic Earth for a board meeting focused on strategic priorities and ongoing tourism initiatives, and later attended the FONOM Conference, continuing conversations with municipal and industry partners about tourism’s role in local economies.

From May 26–29, staff attended in partnership with Destination Ontario, Northeastern Ontario Tourism, Tourism Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay CEDC. As Canada’s largest international tourism trade show, RVC connects over 500 travel buyers from 24 global markets, helping shape international travel programming and itineraries.

Destination Northern Ontario's Executive Director, David MacLachlan and President, Marty Kalagian, are attending the Cruise Canada New England Symposium this week, and our Senior Coordinator, Investment Attraction and Economic Development, Gord Knowles, Ec.D will represent the organization at REDO in Dryden.

While the past several weeks have involved many kilometres on the road, each stop has helped strengthen partnerships, support advocacy efforts, and promote the value of tourism across Northern Ontario.
