URGENT:
Due to the construction at the intersection of First and Second Avenue, in front of our school, the City of Greater Sudbury will be closing the road indefinitely (estimated reopening tomorrow at some point). Please note buses will be re-routed and no cars will be able to access that area of the road. If you are coming to the school, please access Adamsdale via Bancroft Drive.
A walking path will be available for our walkers with assistance from staff. Parents who walk to the school, please use the walking path and stay off that part of the road.
We will update you as we have more information.
Thank you for keeping our students’ safety a top priority!

With heavy hearts, we share that visitation for Havyn Winter Kay will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.

As a school community, we continue to hold Havyn’s family and friends close in our thoughts as we come together to remember and honour her.

📚 Annual Costco Reader’s Visit! 🛒

A huge thank you to Costco for such a wonderful morning with our readers! Students enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the bakery, met employees from departments throughout the store, and even had the chance to make “prescriptions” in the pharmacy!

Our students were greeted so warmly and made to feel incredibly special during both the weekly reading sessions and the Costco tour. Experiences like these help build confidence, connection, and excitement for learning.

We are so grateful for our amazing community partners and the time, care, and kindness they continue to show our students. Thank you, Costco! ❤️

The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement that began in 2011, encouraging people to stand against violence toward women and children. Founded by Raven Lacerte and her father Paul Lacerte, the campaign is grounded in love, responsibility, and the belief that meaningful change is possible.

Last week at Adamsdale, we began important conversations around Moose Hide Campaign Day and stood in solidarity with this growing movement and its commitment to creating safer communities. We learned that the small square of moose hide symbolizes honour, respect, and a shared commitment to protecting women and children.

The campaign is also rooted in good medicine. Moose hide pins are offered as a piece of traditional Indigenous medicine, encouraging people to live respectfully and peacefully. The spirit of the moose is carried within each pin — a powerful animal that also represents peace.

We remain committed to continuing these conversations, helping to end violence, growing kindness, and carrying forward the message of respect, peace, and healing represented by the moose hide pins. Miigwech!
