Strychnine Update: Please review the information in this link. The cost of one cast of strychnine (24 bottles) is $440.00 plus shipping and handling. The RM will not be carrying inventory. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR TRAINING, PROVIDE THE RM WITH YOUR PURCHASE INFORMATION AND TREATMENT PLAN. Once we confirm if the land indicated is under the permitted use area, WE WILL THEN ORDER THE STRYCHNINE YOU REQUESTED AND PREPAYMENT WILL BE REQUIRED.

Training is available for the Strychnine Stewardship Program, allowing producers in the 208 eligible Saskatchewan RMs access to strychnine for responsible pest control. Eligible producers are encouraged to complete their training in anticipation of supplies arriving in the province.

With a limited supply of strychnine expected in June, producers should prioritize registered alternatives, as well as biological and cultural controls, this spring.

Emergency use of STRYCHNINE training is REQUIRED if you want to purchase strychnine. The RM is not allowed to sell it without proof of course completion. The course is open May 4 - August 1 and can be found at https://sarm.ca/strychnine-stewardship-training/
The RM does not have any strychnine in stock, nor is there a timeline of it's arrival. We will update when we have more information.
