Getting to Know the Gateway CERH Programs: Legion Learning & Lounge 🖥️ 💚

Today, we’re highlighting Legion Learning & Lounge, a program from Gateway CERH’s Seniors Wellbeing Initiative focused on supporting older adults in rural communities to stay connected and engaged.

Through Legion Learning, older adults can build their technology skills, connect with local tech mentors, and gain confidence navigating the digital world, because staying connected is an important part of staying well!

Another successful BRAVE-F summer is in the books! 🚒

This summer, Gateway CERH screened 85 volunteer firefighters at five Huron County firehalls (Brussels, Ethel, Seaforth, Central Huron, Brucefield), helping support the health of those who keep our communities safe.

Thank you to our fire chiefs, volunteer nurses, and firefighters for making another great season possible.

Today, we hosted our annual White Paper Day, welcoming our donors and community to learn more about the work our Research Assistants have been doing this summer.

White Paper Day is an opportunity to see what they’ve been researching, hear about their findings, and learn more about how their work is helping advance rural health research.

We’re proud to celebrate their work and share the research shaping the future of rural health. 💚

Today, we’re celebrating the young people in our communities and the important role they play in shaping the future of our communities.

Through nourish, Gateway CERH is creating opportunities for youth to learn, connect and explore what it means to support health and well-being for them.
