The Town of Goderich’s Main Beach is equipped with a floating wheelchair as well as a beach access wheelchair. Residents and visitors can book either chair for FREE by contacting the Tourism Centre.

A heartfelt thank you to the Town of Goderich, the Goderich Kinettes, and the IODE for helping make our year-end Sibshop such a wonderful success!
Our Sibs had a fantastic day sliding, trying their hand at archery, creating crafts, and simply enjoying time together. These special experiences are only possible because of the generous support of our community partners, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to helping us create meaningful opportunities for local families.
A huge shout-out as well to our amazing leaders at Kintail—Onion, Flamingo, and Fauna—for keeping the day running smoothly and making sure everyone had a fun, safe, and memorable experience.

Please note that our offices will be closed for the Victoria Day long weekend.

While the office may be quiet, many of our dedicated staff will continue providing support throughout the weekend. We are incredibly thankful for their ongoing commitment and care.

Another Sibshops is coming up! Sibshops is a peer support group for siblings (ages 7-18) of children with autism, a disability, or mental health concerns that we co-facilitate with Community Support for Families-Huron County.

Date: Wednesday, May 20
Time: 5:00-7:30 PM
Location: Knox Presbyterian Church (9 Victoria Street N, Goderich)

We'll eat tacos and talk about our strengths, our siblings' strengths, and design our own superhero!

A local family is currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate support person to assist with the care of their active 10-year-old child.
💼 What They’re Offering:
✅ HIGHLY competitive wages
✅ Meaningful, rewarding work supporting a child and family in our community
🚗 Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Willing to complete a screening process, including a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Able to physically keep up with an active child
• Strong conflict resolution skills are essential
• Experience working with children is an asset (especially experience with autism)
🕒 Support Hours Include:
• Weekdays: 7:00–9:00 AM & 3:00–9:00 PM
• Weekends: 10-hour shifts
• Holidays, PD days & school breaks: 12-hour shifts
