In July, we had the pleasure of bringing together Friendly Visiting volunteers from Halton Hills and Milton for a morning of coffee, donuts, and meaningful conversation.

The gathering provided an opportunity for volunteers to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the relationships they have built through the Friendly Visiting Program. Their compassion, companionship, and commitment help reduce social isolation and make a lasting difference in the lives of the people they visit.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our Friendly Visiting volunteers. Your dedication helps strengthen our community every day.

Interested in making a difference in someone's life? We are currently looking for Friendly Visiting volunteers. Join our team and help bring connection, conversation, and companionship to local seniors and adults in our community. Link in bio.

Love and understanding don't fade.

September is World Alzheimer's Month, and we're thinking of everyone living with dementia and the families and caregivers who support them with so much patience and heart.

❄️ Just 6 Months Until Coldest Night of the Year! ❄️

The countdown is on! In just 6 months, our community will come together once again for the Coldest Night of the Year, a family-friendly fundraising walk in support of people in our community who are experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

Last year, our incredible supporters helped make a real difference, and we can't wait to walk alongside you again in 2027. Whether you're a returning participant, volunteer, sponsor, or someone considering joining for the first time, now is the perfect time to start getting excited!

💙 Save the date.
👟 Gather your team.
❄️ Get ready to make an impact.

Together, we can bring hope, warmth, and support to our neighbours who need it most.

Last week, our Board of Directors had the opportunity to visit and tour Links2Care in Georgetown, where they were welcomed by Elizabeth Pontes, Director of People and Culture.

As a community hub in Halton Hills, Links2Care's mission is "Enhancing the well-being of the community through access to care and connections." Our board enjoyed learning more about the programs, services, and supports that help residents across the community access the care and resources they need.

A sincere thank you to the dedicated Links2Care team for sharing their work and for everything they do to support our community. We'd also like to recognize the other Chamber members with offices within Links2Care, helping ensure residents across Halton Hills can easily connect with valuable services and resources close to home.

🎒 With the school year just around the corner, Links2Care's Backpack Program is still open. If you're looking for assistance or would like to support local students from low-income families as they head back to school, visit their website for more information.

On July 23, we were pleased to welcome Kristina Tesser Derksen, MP for Milton East–Halton Hills South, to Links2Care to learn more about the impact of the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

During the visit, Joseph and Suhana shared their experiences and the work they have been doing throughout the summer, highlighting the valuable contributions Canada Summer Jobs Participants make to our organization and community. Both participants were also recognized with certificates in appreciation of their involvement in the program.

We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the positive impact of the Canada Summer Jobs Program and to celebrate the dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm of all our Canada Summer Jobs Participants.

Thank you for making a difference in our community this summer!
