SCBA training tonight with new recruits and season members alike. We did donning and doffing exercises, air management techniques and SCBA maintenance.

The Gander Bay Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at 8:18pm, with 9 members attending to the incident until paramedics from NLHS arrived and assumed responsibility.

As part of Municipal Awareness Week, Gander Fire/Rescue is hosting an Open House and Safety Demo on May 13 at 7:00 p.m.

At 11:45am the Gander Bay Fire Department was called out to a chimney fire, 9 members responded and dealt with the incident. All clear was
given and we were back at the hall by 12:30.

We checked out the new skid unit for brush fires tonight with a few of our guys. This unit was donated through Global Medic and the Provincal Government of NL.Government of Newfoundland and Labrador
