The Gambo Public Library is proud to provide the community of Gambo with a number of services! Come in and use our computers with free access to high speed internet, check out the selection of new books and old favorites, DVDS, and TV Series we can also order in any items that we don't have in house including Auto Books completely free of charge. Plus check out our over 22 magazine subscriptions.

Library Social is Back! ☕

Looking for a cozy spot to craft, chat, and connect? Our Library Social (18+) is starting back up this Thursday, September 10th at 1:00 PM! Bring along your current project—whether you are knitting, sewing, or working on another craft. Don't have a project? No problem! We have adult coloring books, puzzles, and word searches available for you to enjoy. You are also more than welcome to just come by to socialize, enjoy a tea or coffee, and enjoy some great conversation.

💖 Paint the World Pink for Dolly: Ladies Night Out! 💖

Get ready to get all dolled up for a wonderful cause! Mint Brook RV Park invites you to a special celebration honoring the legendary Dolly Parton and her incredible Imagination Library. All proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting our lovely Gambo Public Library! 📚✨

🗓️ When: Saturday, September 26, 2026
🕖 Time: Starting at 7:00 PM
📍 Where: Mint Brook RV Park
🎟️ Cost: $10.00 per person
👗 Dress Code: Come in your most shiny, bling-bling outfit!

🍷 What to bring: This event is BYOB. You are also more than welcome to bring along your favorite finger foods or dips to share at the snack table.💃Come out, celebrate an incredible woman, and support your local library.

A wonderful time was had at our Storywalk for summer 2026!

We started our evening with a tribute to Dolly Parton. Dolly’s lifelong personal symbol is butterflies, so every child colored butterfly wings to hang along the trail in her memory.

We read Collette the Solitary Bee, and found things that bees help grow, like strawberries, blueberries, and apples along the way. Everyone became Bee Explorers and collected all 8 stamps along our walk for finding these items.

We ended our evening with a delicious bee themed snack, and we had a tribute for Dolly as well. Of course everyone ended up in the Splash Pad, even me. A great time was had by all.

I’ll end with a quote by Dolly, “Dream more, learn more, care more, be more”. 💗

Tonight children will color their wings and hang them along the Sensory Trail, in memory of Dolly Parton. For those registered, please come by 6:15-6:20 if you would like to take part in this tribute. We will meet at the Sensory Trail sign in the parking lot. If your child cannot make it tonight but would like to participate, please reach out to get a set of wings. Thank you 😊

Another wonderful Book Club in the books this afternoon. It was lovely to sit and enjoy the conversation this month with you ladies. Our next book is Becoming by Michelle Obama.
