🇨🇦 June 6, 1944 — D-Day

Today, we remember the courage of the thousands of Allied soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago.

Many never returned home. Others carried the memories of that day for the rest of their lives.

Because of their sacrifice, future generations would know freedom.

As Canadians, we remember the members of the Canadian Armed Forces who faced impossible odds and pressed forward with determination, courage, and duty.

May we never forget those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Lest We Forget.

🎓🇨🇦 Royal Military College of Canada

As the Royal Military College of Canada celebrates its 150th Anniversary in 2026, it is an appropriate time to reflect on the generations of leaders, officers, and graduates who have passed through its historic gates and gone on to serve Canada with distinction.

Few achievements demand the level of dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to graduate from the Royal Military College of Canada. The journey is not an easy one, and earning the right to wear the uniform and join the ranks of RMC graduates is an accomplishment that deserves to be remembered.

I was honoured to create this personalized Royal Military College Badge Plate to commemorate such a milestone.

As CWO J.R.D. Lapointe MMM, CD shared:

“Watching Sidney graduate from RMC was a proud moment, and the Glass Treasures plate marked it beautifully. It’s the kind of gift that makes you pause and reflect on the journey it represents.”

Whether you are celebrating a recent graduate, honouring a family member's achievement, or looking back on your own years at the Royal Military College of Canada, this personalized badge plate is designed to commemorate a journey worth remembering. It is a gift that can be presented with pride and displayed with pride for years to come.

🎖️ UBIQUE | “Everywhere”

Today is Artillery Day, observed each year on May 26th and rooted in the establishment of the Royal Regiment of Artillery on May 26, 1716. Since 1952, Canadian Gunners have marked this day in honour of the proud history, service, and sacrifice of artillery soldiers across generations. 🇨🇦

From the battlefields of the First and Second World Wars, to Korea, Afghanistan, peacekeeping missions, and operations here at home, Canada’s Gunners have served wherever they were needed. The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery has long played a critical role in protecting Canadian soldiers and supporting allied forces with skill, precision, and courage.

The Regiment’s motto, UBIQUE | “Everywhere”, is more than just a word. It reflects a legacy of service around the world and the important role artillery has played throughout Canada’s military history.

One of my own uncles served in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery during World War II, so this day carries special meaning for me.

To all who have worn the RCA cap badge, past and present, thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to Canada.

🇨🇦 Plate Spotlight | HMCS Sackville 🇨🇦

Today I’m proud to feature this HMCS Sackville commemorative Glass Treasure — honouring one of the most recognized and important ships in Canada’s naval history.

HMCS Sackville is the last surviving Flower-class corvette from the Second World War and serves today as Canada’s Naval Memorial in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During the Battle of the Atlantic, ships like Sackville escorted convoys through dangerous waters threatened by German U-boats, helping protect vital supplies and lives during the war.

What makes this especially timely is that HMCS Sackville was ceremonially recommissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy this month as part of its 85th anniversary commemorations in Halifax. The ceremony included naval dignitaries, public celebrations, and even a Royal Canadian Air Force flyby recognizing the ship’s wartime legacy and ongoing importance to Canadian naval history.

It’s remarkable to think that this historic vessel, launched in 1941, still stands today as a tribute to the sailors who served during the Battle of the Atlantic — one of the longest and most critical campaigns of the war.

Creating commemorative pieces connected to stories like this is always an honour for me.

If you’re looking for a unique way to honour naval service or military history, I’m always happy to help with ideas and personalization options. 🇨🇦

🇨🇦 The Queen’s York Rangers 🇨🇦

Today I’m proud to feature this commemorative Glass Treasure honouring a regiment whose history reaches all the way back to 1755 with Rogers’ Rangers during the Seven Years’ War.

Long before Queen Victoria’s reign, the regiment carried the name of Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III and grandmother of Queen Victoria herself. Their story remains woven into the early military history of North America and Canada’s proud military heritage.

I always enjoy helping preserve these stories through personalized commemorative pieces created to honour service, sacrifice, and tradition. 🇨🇦

🇨🇦 Plate Spotlight | The Queen’s York Rangers 🇨🇦

Today I’m proud to feature this commemorative Glass Treasure honouring The Queen’s York Rangers — a regiment whose history traces back to 1755 with Rogers’ Rangers during the Seven Years’ War.

Long before Queen Victoria’s reign, the regiment carried the name of Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III and grandmother of Queen Victoria herself. Their story is deeply connected to early military history in North America and the traditions that helped shape Canada’s military heritage.

From the Battle on Snowshoes to the Siege of Louisbourg and beyond, generations connected to this proud regiment have carried forward a remarkable legacy of service and dedication.

I always enjoy helping preserve these important stories through personalized commemorative pieces created for those who proudly serve, have served, or wish to honour family history tied to Canada’s military traditions. 🇨🇦

🇨🇦 I’m incredibly honoured to finally share this exciting news.

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion, I have been given the privilege of creating an officially approved commemorative Glass Treasure to help mark this important milestone in Canadian history.

Over the past several months, I’ve worked closely with the Legion’s Centenary Planning Committee to create a design that reflects remembrance, service, sacrifice, and the proud legacy of the Legion across Canada.

This special framed commemorative piece is individually produced using my specialized production techniques and includes personalized engraved plaques along with a Certificate of Authenticity sharing the historical significance behind the piece. A portion of each plate is also directed to the Legion, helping support their ongoing work with Veterans, their families, and communities across Canada.

As a Canadian artisan and proud supporter of those who protect us, it has been an incredible honour to help commemorate this historic anniversary and contribute in my own small way to preserving the legacy of the Legion for future generations.

Thank you to The Royal Canadian Legion - National Headquarters for the opportunity and trust placed in my work.

Humbly blessed,
