PoliStrat Conference 2025 Recap ✨

At NBSA, we believe advocacy must go beyond appearances, it has to drive real change for students and communities.

This year’s PoliStrat reminded us that true leadership means standing firm in our values and taking action that genuinely impacts lives.

Together, we remain committed to building a stronger, more inclusive future for post secondary students in New Brunswick.

Students + strong post-secondary = a thriving NB.

But provincial funding hasn’t kept pace. Costs rise, tuition climbs, and debt grows, leaving students to carry the weight.

NBSA is calling for real, multi-year investments: stable grants, accessibility and affordability supports, and reinvestment in campuses.

Because investing in Post-secondary students is investing in New Brunswick.

👉 Do you think education is worth the investment?

📚 Back to Campus. Back to Advocacy.

As students return to lecture halls, labs, and libraries, we’re back at the table, making sure your voices are heard where it matters most.

At NBSA, we are the provincial voice for post-secondary students across New Brunswick.

This year, we’re committed to turning your concerns into action, and your ideas into change. Because your education is more than just a degree , it’s the foundation for a stronger, thriving New Brunswick.

✨ PoliStrat 2025 Reflections ✨

“When post-secondary students succeed, everybody prospers.” – David Emerson, Special Advisor to the President (Government Relations), University of New Brunswick.

This reminder from our conference rings true: investing in students isn’t just about education, it’s about building stronger communities, economies, and futures for all.

Here’s to turning ideas into action for New Brunswick Post-Secondary students. 💡📚

💰📚 Student Financial Aid in NB: What’s Working & What’s Not
NB students can access loans & grants; but rising tuition, rent, and debt mean it’s still not enough.

At NBSA, we believe no one should be priced out of education.

We’re pushing for:
⚡ More needs-based grants
⚡ Upfront, non-repayable aid
⚡ Expanded eligibility
⚡ A simpler, fairer system

Your voice matters. 🗣
Have you applied for student aid in NB? Was it enough?

What will it take to make housing affordable for students in NB?

Rent keeps rising, and students , especially international and out-of-province , are being priced out.

NBSA is taking action advocating for rent caps, stronger policies, and real solutions like more student housing.

✅ We’ve made progress, but there’s more to do.
With advocacy, collaboration between the private and public sector, change is possible.

🌈 Disability Pride Month: Because Pride doesn’t end in June.

At NBSA, we believe in a world where every student feels seen, safe, and supported—without stigma, without barriers. 💙♿️ From pushing for accessible campuses to advocating for inclusive policies that uplift both disabled and 2LGBTQQIA+ students, our work is built on action, not just words.

Over the years, we’ve championed change through policy reforms, accessibility advocacy, and public support—and we’re just getting started. 🙌

We’re also listening 📢: feedback from students like you helps us improve. As we continue learning, advocating, and collaborating, one truth remains clear—equity is not optional.
