Fredericton Botanic Garden Association The FBGA is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to establish a public garden for all to enjoy. In 1992 a Local Improvement Association was incorporated.

In 1989, inspired by their common passion for botany and horticulture, a group of local residents formed the Fredericton Botanic Garden Association (FBGA), dedicated to establishing a Botanic Garden in Fredericton. One year later, in 1990, the City of Fredericton dedicated a property at the west end of Odell Park and the Fredericton Botanic Garden was born. Since its establishment, the Garden has

evolved through the joint efforts of the members of the FBGA and the City. It consolidates the interest of the parties in the creation and improvement of the site. It defines responsibilities of each group with respect to the Garden, its maintenance and growth.

Join Gray Miller in the Daylily Garden, Wednesday, June 24th, at 6:30 pm, for a brief interpretive tour. Gray will identify various daylilies and share future plans for the Daylily Garden. You'll have the opportunity to help Gray spruce up the garden as you learn about the plants and flowers. Meet at the Resource Centre at 10 Cameron Court, at around 6:15, to walk up to the Daylily Garden. Dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle and bug spray.

Join Anthony Brooks in the Wabanaki Healing Garden, Thursday, June 25th, at 6:30 pm, for a brief interpretive tour. Anthony will share traditional knowledge and explain the significance and medicinal applications for many of the plants within the garden. You'll have the opportunity to help Anthony remove unwelcome plants, once you are familiar with the plantings. Refreshments will be served and questions are welcome. Dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle and bug spray.

Unfortunately, effective immediately, Yoga in the Garden is cancelled. Thank you to FLOW YOGA, for having offered this activity. We will be reaching out to preregistrants, to offer program credit, a refund, or a charitable tax receipt.
