Monday, Feb. 9th at 8:45 am citizens will be gathering in Moncton , at Assumption Place, Place l’Assomption to peacefully protest the Amercian gas plant proposed for Tantramar. With the approval of Premier Holt, the U.S.-based company ProEnergy is proposing to build a gas-fired power plant in southeastern New Brunswick. Communities are sounding the alarm. The risks to air quality, water, public health, tourism, and fisheries are real and unacceptable.
Tantramar, Cap-Acadie, Shediac, Dorchester, Memramcook, and surrounding areas would all feel the impact.

Thanks for the shout-out Neighbourhood Works! We're glad to be here for our second year in a row.

Thanks for the shout-out Neighbourhood Works! We're glad to be here for our second year in a row.

The Coldest Night of the Year is almost here, and we’re inviting YOU to be part of something truly meaningful 💛

The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific, family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness… because it’s cold out there.
On February 28, 2026, communities across the country and close to home will come together to walk in solidarity. It’s one cold night—but for many people in our community, this is an everyday reality.

By putting together a Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) team, you’re helping raise critical funds for Neighbourhood Works and the programs that support people when they need it most. Funds raised help provide:
• Warm, nutritious meals through our Community Kitchen
• Youth and adult programs that offer connection, care, and stability
Putting together a CNOY team is one of the easiest (and most fun!) ways to make a real impact. Grab your friends, family, coworkers, teammates—kids, grandparents, and strollers welcome—and enjoy a winter walk for a great cause. You don’t have to be a pro fundraiser; every step, every dollar, and every conversation helps.

Why join?
• Support local programs and services right here in our community
• Take part in a national event happening coast to coast
• Enjoy a fun, family-friendly winter walk
• Make a meaningful difference for people who need it most
Whether you’re a seasoned CNOY captain or thinking about starting a team for the first time, we’d love to have you walking with us.
