So we can't fix the potholes in Fort McMurray because teachers and doctors got raises (7:20-7:50 of the video)? Maybe if we spent a few less dollars on fake Tylenol and sweatheart contracts for UCP insiders we could have nice roads and fairly paid teachers, nurses and doctors. What do you think?

Is it really too much to ask of a government to fulfill their basic functions ensuring our roads are safe for everyone to travel. Mr Yao and Mr Jean should be absolutely ashamed about the state of our local infrastructure and the continued failure of this UCP government to take meaningful action to do anything about it!

Highway 63 Daily Maintenance Update – June 30, 2026
I wanted to share today’s Highway 63 maintenance update to keep residents informed about the work underway to improve road conditions and safety throughout our region.

Urban Service Area Emcon Services crews completed pothole repairs yesterday along the Suncor interchange corridor toward Ruth Lake, placing approximately 4,300 kg of asphalt. Today, crews will continue pothole repairs in the area, progressing toward the Susan Lake turn-off.

South of Fort McMurray Crews used Monday to move materials, service equipment, and identify locations that may be suitable for future paver patching should additional funding become available. Today, maintenance activities will focus on pothole repairs in the Hangingstone area as well as debris cleanup at the Atmore Vehicle Inspection Station.

Thank you to the crews working hard to maintain this critical transportation corridor. I will continue to provide regular updates on Highway 63 maintenance activities and advocate for the improvements our community relies on.
