Today, we remember and honour one of our own.
It is with heavy hearts that the members of the Fort Macleod Fire Department mourn the passing of Lt. Rien Noordegraaf affectionately known to us all at the department as “Uncle Rien”.
For 18 years, Rien proudly served our community as a dedicated member of the Fort Macleod Fire Department. Not only as a firefighter but as a mentor, a friend, and family to so many within our department. His kindness, wittiness, and unwavering commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rien’s legacy will continue to live on through the firefighters he inspired, the lives he touched, and the community he helped protect.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Rien’s family, friends, and all who are grieving his loss during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Lt. Your brothers and sisters will take it from here.🖤🚒
