A huge congratulations to our Executive Director, Dolores Fabiano, on being recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Niagara Falls.

The Paul Harris Fellowship is Rotary’s highest honour, recognizing individuals who exemplify leadership, service, and a commitment to making their communities stronger. Dolores has dedicated her career and volunteer leadership to supporting businesses, fostering connections, and helping strengthen communities across Niagara.

Presented during the Paul Harris Awards & Recognition Dinner on June 11th, this prestigious award celebrates those who truly embody Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”

We are incredibly proud of Dolores and grateful for the passion, dedication, and leadership she brings to the South Niagara Chambers of Commerce every day.

Hey ! For this weeks Throwback Thursday, we’ll be diving into the history of the Fort Erie Railroad with this photo from 1945! For over one hundred years, Fort Erie ranked high in transportation. It was a water trans-shipment point where goods for the interior of Ontario, New York state and the Mid West were unloaded and sent forward. Unfortunately, a promising future was cut short by the construction of the Erie Canal. However, the opening of the International railway bridge a new era of railroading within Fort Erie began!

Great Canadian champions have raced at the "Fort", providing race enthusiasts with thrills and lifelong memories. From its beginnings in 1897, Fort Erie Racetrack has always been a special place.
