🌱🚜 Thank you to Ruth and Marc from Rumar Farm on Canboro Road in Ridgeville for inviting Pelham Cares to their annual gathering and farm tour last weekend!

Rumar Farm is a valued community partner, generously donating part of their incredible organic harvest of fruits, herbs, and vegetables to the Pelham Cares food bank. These fresh donations are made possible in part through their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and the support of caring community members/donors.

As you can see in the photo, Marc delivered a memorable “Speech from the Stump” — not quite the Sermon on the Mount, but the wisdom was every bit as tree-mendous! 🌳🎤😄 (groan)

We are so grateful to Rumar Farm and everyone who supports local agriculture and helps bring fresh, healthy food to our neighbours in need. 💚

💙 Years of Service Recognized 💙
We are proud to celebrate several outstanding Pelham Cares volunteers who were recently recognized for their years of dedicated service last month, during Volunteer Appreciation Week.
🚗Honoured for an incredible 15 years of volunteer service were Margaret and Michael Rice, as well as Sue Kicul.
Margaret and Michael have generously served as volunteer drivers for our Medical Transportation Program for many years, helping local residents get to important medical appointments with care and compassion.
✉️Sue Kicul has worn many hats at Pelham Cares over the years. She has been a valued member of our Board of Directors, served as our Youth Services representative, and more recently has been our tireless Corresponding Secretary, writing hundreds of heartfelt thank-you notes to donors each year.

Also recognized for 10 years of service were Brenda Wild, Mary Ann Hicks, and Graham Jackson. Lori Szwarz was honoured for 5 years of dedicated volunteer service.
Thank you to all of these remarkable volunteers for your commitment, generosity, and the heart you bring to our community. Your contributions make a meaningful difference every day. 💙
