The Town of Foam Lake reminds residents that all trees overhanging alleys, roads, sidewalks, and other public spaces must be trimmed by September 30.

If a tree has not been trimmed by this date, the Town will contact the property owner. After notification, owners will have 14 days to complete the trimming. If the work is not done within that timeframe, the Town will hire a contractor to complete the trimming and invoice the cost to the property owner.

Did You Know? 🎬

The Town of Foam Lake owns the Community Theatre Building and is responsible for providing the building insurance and capital improvements that affect the structure itself.

The Foam Lake Community Theatre Committee, through a lease agreement with the Town, is responsible for all day‑to‑day operations, including:
• Utility payments
• General maintenance and cleaning
• Film selection and scheduling
• Inventory and concession purchasing
• Subleases, rentals, and tenant management
• Volunteer coordination and requirements

This structure ensures the Theatre is operated locally by a dedicated volunteer board while the Town maintains responsibility for major building‑related items. Recent examples include asbestos abatement and roof repairs, both funded by the Town and coordinated with the Committee.

Although the Theatre operates independently, the Town of Foam Lake is proud to collaborate with the Committee on special community events such as Frozen Water Day, the Night of Lights Matinee, and our summer Toonie Movies.

We appreciate the commitment of the board members and volunteers who keep this valued community asset thriving for residents and visitors alike. 💙🍿

🚨 ATV & OFF-ROAD VEHICLE REMINDER 🚨

Residents and visitors are reminded that ATVs, dirt bikes, mini-bikes and similar off-road vehicles are NOT permitted to be operated on Town roads or public lands within Foam Lake.

➡️ The only exception is direct access into or out of Town using approved routes. Recreational riding within Town limits is not permitted.

Please remember that Saskatchewan law applies to the operation of these vehicles. Operators must meet provincial age, licensing and training requirements. Youth ages 12–15 must have the required ATV training and be supervised by a qualified adult.

⚠️ These requirements are law and will be enforced by the Saskatchewan RCMP.

We ask everyone to respect the rules, use approved routes only, and help keep our community safe.

🚲 E-Bikes (Power-Assisted Bicycles)
✅ No driver's licence or registration required
✅ Riders must be 14 years of age or older
✅ An approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet is required
✅ Must have pedals, a motor of 500 watts or less, and a maximum assisted speed of 32 km/h
✅ Follow the same rules of the road as bicycles and any applicable municipal bylaws.

🛴 E-Scooters (Electric Kick Scooters)
✅ Riders must be 16 years of age or older
✅ An approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet is required
✅ No driver's license or registration required
✅ May only be operated where permitted by municipal bylaw
✅ If allowed, they can only be ridden on roads with posted speed limits of 50 km/h or less, must be ridden solo, and cannot tow anything.

⚠️ Important Reminder: If an e-scooter does not meet Saskatchewan's legal definition or if a municipality has not authorized their use, it cannot be legally operated on public roads.
Whether you're driving, cycling, or riding an e-bike or e-scooter, let's all do our part to share the road safely and respectfully. Slow down, stay alert, and watch for one another.

🚧 Highway 310 Extension Closure – Town of Foam Lake

Please be advised that the 310 Highway Extension through the Town of Foam Lake will be closed for repair work from Wednesday, August 26 through Friday, August 28.

Motorists are asked to follow all posted detour signs and allow extra time for travel.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this important repair work is completed.

that if your pet is loose in town and animal control is called, they will be held for at least 48 hours?!

🐶 Our animal control and general bylaw enforcement will now be handled by the Animal Control Care & Rescue Shelter (ACCRS)

As per Bylaw No. 02-2025 and the contract with ACCRS
🦴 Any animal seized by ACCRS will be impounded for a minimum of 48 hours
🦴 You must pay all applicable fines before your pet will be released to you. Fines could include but are not limited to: unlicensed animal ($200), animal at large ($250) & boarding fees ($45 per 24 hours)
🦴 Pet pickup is located in Wynyard; you must be able to pick up your pet from here

But what if my pet is registered with the Town? If we are able to get in contact with you, your pet will not be impounded; however, once ACCRS is notified, your pet will be subject to impoundment.

Please keep your pets in your yard or on a leash while walking them - if you have a pet that's an escape artist, please take the proper measures to ensure they stay on your property. This is to ensure the safety of everyone, including your pet
