Why is e-billing better than paper bills?
📧 This reduces the amount of paper that we use; in every bill, there are around 2 pieces of paper, plus an envelope. This doesn't seem like a lot, however, once we send one to each property, it adds up fast
📧 You get your utility bills, tax notices and any other communication from us immediately; you don't have to wait for the mail
📧 There's no risk of your bills getting lost in the mail, even though we are sending them locally, mail travels all around before it actually lands in your mailbox

🚧 Road Line Painting Begins June 16 🚧

The Public Works crew will begin repainting street lines throughout town starting in the early morning hours of June 16, with work beginning at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Work is scheduled to start early to allow crews to complete line painting in the downtown core before traffic volumes increase and to minimize disruptions caused by parked vehicles.

Please use caution when travelling through town and watch for moving work zones, equipment, and staff working on the roadway. Temporary traffic delays or lane adjustments may occur as crews complete this important maintenance work.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our roads safe and clearly marked for all users.

2026 Property Tax Notices are now in the mail - you should be receiving yours very soon!

that there are multiple factors in determining property tax amounts? Here are a few that make an impact:
🌟Capital projects like upgrading our facilities to make them accessible for all
🌟General maintenance costs like purchasing new equipment to ensure our infrastructure is well-maintained
🌟Your assessed property value is set by the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA). If you upgrade your home, your assessed rate will increase
🌟The Education Taxes that are set by the Saskatchewan Government to support our schools

Want a discount on your taxes? Pay before July 31 to receive a 3% discount!

There are a few ways to pay your property taxes:
🌟Cash, cheque, post-dated cheque(s), debit, preauthorized debit, e-transfer to [email protected] (put in a note what it’s for), or via online banking at Credit Unions, Scotia Bank, or RBC
🌟You can also pay your taxes in split monthly payments by signing up for preauthorized debit
🌟All property taxes are due by December 31, 2026 - any outstanding balances will be subject to a 10% penalty

that on May 5, 2026 Saskatchewan introduced Henry’s Law, a regulatory amendment to strengthen requirements for carbon monoxide (CO) detection in multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs)

What does this mean for you?
💨Owners of all new and existing multi-unit residential buildings are required to comply by November 1, 2026
💨Each suite within a MURB must have at least one CO alarm installed in the suite. This change augments regulatory amendments made in 2022 that made the installation of CO and smoke alarms retroactive in all existing buildings
💨MURBs include condominiums, apartments, motels, hotels and all other buildings with multiple residential suites
