💙 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗨𝗣 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 - Prostate Cancer Awareness Month 💙

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The District of Carleton North is proud to join communities across Canada in the “𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝗽 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲” campaign to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

From September 14th - 18th, the Town Office, Bath Office, Centreville Office (Western Valley Multi-Plex), and The Andrew & Laura Public Library will be glowing blue in support of the 1 in 8 Canadian men who will face a prostate cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.

By lighting up, we hope to spark conversations, promote early detection, and support the important work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation

Sunday, September 13, 2026

Please be advised that flags at all provincial buildings, sites, establishments and schools within the province of New Brunswick are to be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, September 13, 2026, to recognize the Firefighters’ National Memorial Day.

Where buildings are closed for the weekend, flags may be lowered at close of business on Friday, September 11th, and remain at half-mast until business resumes on Monday, September 14th.

Today, in the District of Carleton North, flags will be lowered to half-mast at municipal buildings in honour of the firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

As we mark this day of remembrance, we recognize the courage, dedication, and selfless service of firefighters who risk their lives every day to protect their communities. We also pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others.

The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation honours all firefighters, including career, volunteer, part-time, industrial, military, urban, rural, wildland, airport, and marine firefighters.

Today, we remember, honour, and thank them for their service.

This week, road line painters will be operating within the District of Carleton North to repaint the old road lines. Painting is scheduled to begin today, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, weather permitting. Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution when approaching line painting crews. Minor traffic delays may occur. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
