It’s a turtles time to shine!!! πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ˜„

Over the next few weeks we can expect to see turtles emerging from waterways as their hibernations end.

We would like to remind everyone that in our province the Wood turtle is a threatened species. This means that they need our help and protection.

If you see a Wood turtle or know of any please reach out to us privately.

What species are more Canadian than moose or beavers? We now have an answer. A new report has catalogued 308 species, sub-species and varieties of plants and animals found in Canada β€” and nowhere else on Earth.

We are seeking volunteers to help with monitoring on Eagle's Eye on August 6th! We will be doing a plant survey, clean-up and monitoring of the preserve. We will be arranging our own kayaks/canoes, so anyone joining will have to arrange their own water-transport :)

Please RSVP by the morning of August 5th by e-mailing [email protected] (cell: 416-970-7324). If you decide to rent a kayak/canoe or bring your own - please specify where you will be accessing the water so we can plan to meet you.

Please bring: a lunch, hat, water, personal work gloves. We will have some tools (loppers, clippers), extra latex gloves, granola bars, and water.

Thank-you!
