'The Fenelon Theatre building may be gone but the iconic marquee sign will be back! A group of dedicated community members, together with Maryboro Lodge-The Fenelon Museum, have formed a committee(Fenelon Theatre Marquee Group) and have been diligently working to gather information on the restoration and future placement. While this process will take time it will also require money. Some funding

has been secured through the Legacy Chest Fund, however more funds will be required. Through your donations we can make this happen! Donations can be accepted at Maryboro Lodge-The Fenelon Museum and Stokes on Trent. This page has been created to allow everyone to follow along on this journey. '

Time to light up The Grove Theatre… see attached post for link to details on how.

Here's a great way to support the local arts and one of the most unique performance venues in the region The Grove Theatre.
The Grove Theatre have a fundraising campaign called Light Up the Grove. For a donation of $1,500, a beautiful light engraved with your name or dedication will be permanently installed on the path. These lights will illuminate the pathway to the stage through a winding path in the woods. Magical. Tim Wisener (pictured) is the co-founder and treasurer of Grove Theatre. His vision, dedication and love of the arts is admirable. This fundraising campaign will help them purchase the sound and lighting system they need and thus not need to rent each year. This way they can put more resources into maintaining the theatre and continue bringing the highest level of entertainment to our community.

I know that I'm a little bias about this sign. Bias or not it is still my favourite of all time. It makes me smile every time I see it.

It's been a long time since we have been able to post anything new about the Fenelon Theatre Marquee. As of to day there is a beautiful plaque explaining the history of the sign. The next time you are out for a walk stop by the sign & check out the plaque. Stay safe everyone.

We are very happy to report that we are in the process of ordering an information plaque for the Marquee. I don't have a date for you but we are so excited to be working on this.
