💧 Rural 44 Water Pipeline Utility – Administrator Position

Rural 44 Water Pipeline Utility is hiring a part-time Administrator (about ½ time). Flexible hours Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–5:00 p.m.

📍 Office: RM of Snipe Lake, 213 Main Street South, Eston, SK

🗂️ Duties include:

· Full accounting cycle including monthly bank reconciliations, statement

· Monthly billing and payment processing

· Annual loan interest calculations

· Preparing financial statements and audit materials

· Accounts receivable follow-up

· General administrative support to the Committee

· Prepare Agendas, attend meetings preparing minutes

· Policy development when necessary

· Prepare crossing agreements

· Ideal candidate will possess administration abilities and knowledge of a rural water line operation

· MuniSoft software is used in all facets of the operation.

The boil water advisory that effected customers on the north pipeline has been LIFTED - effective immediately. All customers affected should have received a text message last week as that is our primary means of contacting in such events. Rural 44 Water Pipeline Utility Board is seeking applications from interested parties able to provide services to the Board for the day to day operations and management of a water utility that distributes treated water to a current maximum of 103 users. These duties include but are not limited to water testing and sampling, maintenance of the water treatment plant, and flushing of the distribution lines as needed.

Reporting to the Administrator directly and the operating committee indirectly, Interested parties will perform such duties as required by the Saskatchewan Water Authority as detailed in the Utilities’ license.

Preferred basis would be as a contractor operator with Workers’ Compensation being provided by the Utility.

Applicant must be qualified or willing to obtain qualifications as a Utility Operator as determined by the SWA.

Backup personnel are available for on-call and time off.
Compensation will be based upon experience with a potential starting range of $50,000 per year.

For your information, SAL Engineering will be conducting a warranty inspection which involves driving where the pipeline has been installed. This will happen during the week of April 22nd. If you see a silver SUV in your area, it may be Nick from SAL.

Request for Proposal
Utility Operator

Rural 44 Water Pipeline Utility Board is seeking proposals from interested parties able to provide services to the Board for the day to day operations and management of a water utility that distributes treated water to a current maximum of 103 users. These duties include but are not limited to water testing and sampling, maintenance of the water treatment plant, and flushing of the distribution lines as needed.

Reporting to the Administrator directly and the operating committee indirectly, Interested parties will perform such duties as required by the Saskatchewan Water Authority as detailed in the Utilities’ license.

Preferred basis would be as a contractor operator with Workers’ Compensation being provided by the Utility and the proposed rate, identified in your proposal, would be full compensation for the duties. -
Applicant must be qualified or willing to obtain qualifications.
The time commitment is estimated to be approximately 4 hours per day. Backup personnel are available for on-call and time off.
