👮‍♂️ Program Feature: Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS)

We use Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, commonly known as drones, as another tool to support public safety and assist officers during a variety of situations.

RPAS technology can be used to help with search and rescue operations, locate missing persons, assist at crime and collision scenes, provide situational awareness during critical incidents, support disaster response and more.

The program is operated by trained and qualified EPS members and follows documented operational requirements, privacy safeguards and applicable laws. EPS does not use RPAS for arbitrary or unauthorized surveillance.

This technology helps officers gather important information from a different perspective while supporting safer and more informed responses.

Behind every crime or traumatic event is a person, family or loved one trying to navigate what comes next.

Victim Services is here to help.

Serving Estevan and communities throughout southeast Saskatchewan, the program supports and advocates for victims of crime and traumatic events. The team helps guide individuals through the criminal justice process, connects them with valuable community resources and provides ongoing support as they work through the impact and trauma of what they have experienced.

Each year, Victim Services assists approximately 350 to 400 clients across the region.

We are proud to recognize the important work Victim Services does every day to support people in some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

There were some sharp shooters in the group, along with plenty of laughs and friendly competition as racers tried to hit their mark and move on to their next stop.

We had a great time being part of the race and welcoming teams to EPS!

Good luck to all of the Amazing Race Estevan racers taking on today’s challenges! 🏁
