As co-chair of the Conservative Auto Caucus, I was pleased to sit around the table with Global Automakers of Canada and Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association to discuss the negative impact Chinese EVs will have on our domestic auto industry, and Carney's alleged promise to repeal the EV mandate.

While Carney is purportedly limiting the number of Chinese EVs entering our market this year, Chinese EVs are projected to account for one-third of EV sales in Canada. This pushes out local EV manufacturers and weakens Canada's EV industry. Carney also promised to scrap the EV mandate in September of last year, it remains firmly in place with no clear timeline for its removal. These poor decisions will have huge consequences for our auto industry.

My Conservative colleagues and I will continue working to support and protect Canadian auto workers and manufacturers, while advocating for the repeal of the EV mandate.

Canadians work hard for every dollar they earn.

That is why taxpayer spending deserves careful scrutiny.

Recent Order Paper Question responses show average executive bonuses at several Crown corporations.

At a time when many Canadians are dealing with higher food costs, housing pressure, and tighter household budgets, it is fair to ask whether government bonuses and spending decisions are delivering real value for taxpayers.

Public money should be handled carefully, transparently, and with clear results for Canadians.

Life has become unaffordable for too many Canadians. Food Banks Canada’s latest Poverty Report Card warns that “something fundamental has shifted in Canada,” with nearly one in four Canadians now living in a food-insecure household.

That means millions of Canadians are struggling to access the food they need. Food bank visits have doubled across the country since 2020, and one in five food bank clients are now employed. As the report makes clear, a job is no longer enough to guarantee stability.

Canadians should judge every party by one simple question: are their policies making life better, more affordable, and more secure?

It was a great morning at the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus’ 13th Annual Day on the Range, bringing together Members of Parliament and staff from across the political spectrum to learn more about the shooting sports and responsible fi****ms use.

It was a pleasure to spend time with colleagues and enjoy some friendly competition!

I had the pleasure of meeting this year’s new group of interns. One message stood out clearly: young Canadians are ready to step up, serve their communities, and defend the Canadian dream.

It is encouraging to see such a passionate, driven, and ambitious group of young people committed to carrying forward the principles and values we stand for as Conservatives.

Essex–Windsor is home to some of the finest wineries in Canada, yet Liberal taxes and red tape continue to make it harder for this industry to grow, invest, and create jobs. Our local wineries should be supported, not punished.

I was pleased to meet with the Wine Growers Association of Canada to discuss the major contributions Canada’s wine industry makes to our local economy, tourism, and small businesses. We also discussed how Conservatives can continue pushing the Liberal government to stop burdening wineries with unnecessary barriers that discourage investment and hurt competitiveness.

Essex-Windsor wineries are more than just local attractions. They are job creators, economic drivers, and an important part of Essex–Windsor’s identity. Conservatives will continue standing up for policies that support local businesses, strengthen our economy, and protect Canadian jobs.

Thank you for the insightful discussion and for sharing some of your outstanding wines with us.

It was a pleasure to welcome a wonderful family from Amherstburg to Ottawa and provide them with a tour of the House of Commons. Seeing such strong interest in how Parliament works and in the future of our beautiful country is a great reminder that Canadians care deeply about their communities and Canadian democracy.

Thank you for taking time out of your trip to visit the House of Commons. I hope you enjoyed your time in Ottawa and had a memorable experience on Parliament Hill!

Canada is now in a very serious economic position.

Recent numbers show Canada’s economy has stalled, business investment has fallen for five straight quarters, and household savings have dropped to their lowest level in two years. At the same time, Ottawa continues to run large deficits, with the 2025/26 deficit rising to $55.28 billion.

These are not just numbers on a page.

They mean families are paying more, businesses are holding back, and Canada is borrowing more money to pay its bills.

After more than a decade of Liberal policies, Canadians are seeing the results of higher taxes, red tape, anti-development laws, and growing debt.

Conservatives believe Canada needs a different direction:

Cut taxes.

Remove red tape.

Build homes.

Support investment.

Get our economy growing again.

Are you ready for a government focused on affordability, jobs, and restoring hope for Canadians?

05/29/2026

Canada’s economy is shrinking, families are paying more, investment is leaving, and workers are facing more uncertainty.

After years of higher taxes, red tape, rising deficits, and anti-development policies, many Canadians are asking a fair question:

Are you ready to support a party with a different direction and a stronger plan for Canada’s future?
