Are you looking to securely destroy your confidential papers? Do you have leftover cleaners, solvents, and chemicals you want to dispose of? Bring them to one of our annual fall Residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) mobile drop-off and Paper Shredding Events!

Service Notice ❗

Construction work will be taking place on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, at 24 Old Enfield Rd, Enfield. The estimated work hours are from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Traffic control will be on site and will reduce traffic to one lane. A water service interruption is only anticipated at 24 Old Enfield Rd, Enfield.

Please use caution in the area and be mindful of pedestrians and construction crews.

Battery-related fires are becoming a growing concern in communities across Canada – Including here in Nova Scotia. 🔥

Help us keep our community safer by making sure your batteries never go in the garbage or recycling. Bring them in and recycle them safely at the following locations:

Can’t make it to a community event? Batteries are accepted year-round at the Waste Management Centre, or find a community drop-off location near you at https://recycleyourbatteries.ca/

Letters have been mailed to property owners along the former Dominion Atlantic Railway (DAR) Corridor who may have an easement and/or encroachment extending onto Municipal land.

Receiving a letter does not mean changes are required to your current use of the area. The letter explains a process to formally document long-standing encroachments and easements through an agreement with the Municipality. If you received a letter, please take a few minutes to review the information and return the enclosed form.
