2026 Municipal Election – Prospective Candidates

The R.M. of Wallace-Woodworth is providing an update on individuals who have registered as prospective candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election. The attached list reflects registration forms received as of September 11, 2026.

Please note that registering as a prospective candidate does not mean an individual is officially a candidate for election. Registration allows an individual to begin campaign-related activities, including accepting contributions, in accordance with election requirements.

The nomination period is September 16–22, 2026. Nomination papers must be submitted to and accepted by the Senior Elections Official (SEO) before an individual becomes a nominated candidate. Submission of nomination papers alone does not confirm candidacy.

The withdrawal period closes September 23, 2026, after which the official list of candidates will be confirmed.

Anyone interested in registering as a prospective candidate is encouraged to contact the Senior Elections Official or the Municipal Office prior to September 22, 2026.

Additional election information and updates will continue to be shared as the election process progresses.

Try as they might our spray park is unfortunately unable to be open for the long weekend. We aren't giving up on the season quite yet but we are awaiting parts delivery. Apologies to everyone for this inconvenience.

Okay Elkhorn Residents! 2✌️ things:

1. PARK IS OPEN FOR USE BUT THE SPRAY PARK IS STILL NOT OPERATING.

2. We have all the chainsaw and tractor work done at the park. We've cleared the walkways and under the play structures and now we need your help! If anyone has time the next few evenings if you could take a rake and help clear all the little debris the kiddos of this community would very much appreciate it! There will be receptacles there for the debris. Thank you again to everyone for chipping in!

GOOD MORNING ELKHORN! CREWS ARE STARTING THE DAY IN THE ELKHORN MEMORIAL PARK FOR TREE CLEAN UP. SO WE WILL CLOSE THE PARK FOR PUBLIC USE UNTIL WE ARE DONE.

Elkhorn Storm Cleanup Continues

Community cleanup efforts will continue in Elkhorn.

Residents can assist by placing fallen branches in neat piles on their front lawns near the roadway for pickup. Please keep piles off the roadway and out of ditches.

Cleanup efforts are ongoing. All the support and teamwork being shown throughout Elkhorn are making a big difference.

The crew really bust a move around all the work trucks and clean up crews today and got garbage pick up complete! Regular Recycling Pick tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept 2 2026!
