What a wonderful first day back at South Crosby! 💙

It was so great to welcome everyone back into the building and see our school come alive again. Our students did an amazing job settling into their classrooms, getting to know their teachers, and—of course—enjoying time with their friends!

And we even made some new friends at recess… 🐸😉

It was a fantastic start to the school year, and we’re already looking forward to all the learning, laughter, and memories ahead. What a great way to kick off the year! 🌟

🌤️ First Day Arrival Plans

If the weather is nice and dry:
All students will enter through the recess yard when they arrive. Staff will be there to greet students and help them find out which class and teacher they will be with. Students in Grades 1–6 will line up by grade, and staff will help everyone get settled.

🌧️ If it is raining:
All students will enter the school building. Kindergarten students will head directly to their classrooms, while students in Grades 1–6 will meet in the gym. Staff will be there to help students find their teacher and get organized for the day.

💙 A little first-day reminder for families: We ask that parents and caregivers on site please say their goodbyes at the gate or front door and allow students to enter independently. We know this can be especially hard on the first day, but our staff will be ready to welcome, reassure and support students as they make their way inside. Keeping goodbyes short and positive can make the transition easier for everyone!

Take a deep breath, give lots of hugs, and trust that we’ve got them! We’ll see you tomorrow, Panthers! 🐾
