John's Woodturning

John Merritt is a self-taught woodturner who began turning wood in 2012 following his retirement from volunteer firefighting service. A member of the American Association of Woodturners and former member of the Thames Valley Woodturners Guild, John takes great pride in creating functional handcrafted pieces such as bowls, lidded boxes, and pepper mills. Many of his creations are turned from fallen trees found on his own property, giving each piece a unique story and character.
