Support for a sober lifestyle doesn’t end when a person comes out of recovery. Supportive recovery housing helps fill this gap for people needing housing that helps them continue their sobriety journey.

Supportive recovery housing provides substance-free, shared-living space for people transitioning into or out of treatment — paired with coordinated supports such as life-skills development, employment readiness, cultural support, and connections to health and community services.

The peer support and sense of community are key parts of ongoing recovery. This is just one of the many types of housing that helps countless people break their cycles of poverty and homelessness and is vital to rebuilding and strengthening the community.

Moving day can be stressful on a good day. That’s why our Housing Team works hard to ensure every community member in our Housing Program is welcomed with support, care, and a Move in Kit to help them settle in their new home.

From toiletries to cookware, these kits help ease the transition and give folks the best possible start as they move toward stability. Because connection, dignity, and coordinated support matter — and everyone deserves to feel safe and at home in their community.

When we show up for one another, we help build stronger, more connected communities for everyone.

Final weekend to give.

Mother’s Day is tomorrow, and time is running out to support Bissell Centre’s Tushies and Tummies Diaper and Formula Drive before it ends on Sunday, May 10.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to honour your mother, grandmother, or the caregivers who shaped you, this is your chance to help another family feel supported, too.

Right now, families in our community are still struggling to afford essentials like diapers and formula — items every baby needs to stay clean, fed, and cared for.

Before the drive ends:
💙 Donate diapers or formula
💙 Share this campaign with your network

Because when families have access to the basics, they have space to breathe, regroup, and move forward.

There’s still time to be part of that impact.
