Did you know that the last Fort Edmonton stood just south of where the Alberta Legislature stands today?

The fort was demolished in 1915, shortly after the new Legislature building opened in 1912.

Our Your Alberta Legislature: The Story of a Place exhibit in the Borealis Gallery features an original painting of the landscape including Fort Edmonton.
