We welcome our neighbours to share photos, ideas and news that would be of value to our entire community. While we respect everyone’s right to their personal opinion, we remind everyone that this is first and foremost a community page, and as such, we have regulations in place to ensure that it remains so. We kindly ask that you refrain from posting/commenting harmful, inflammatory or unsubstantiated accusatory comments on this page, whether to a person or group. We are also a non-partisan page, so please refrain from posting/commenting any political messages or attacks on individuals or other organizations. The Woodcroft Community League was founded in 1957 and has long held roots and ties within the recreation realm. One of Woodcroft’s first initiatives was to provide skating facilities for neighbourhood children. We have since expanded and continue to grow recreational programs within our community. Our Community League now houses several programmed elements such as green space, a playground, Spray Park, community hall, and an outdoor skating rink that converts to beach volleyball courts in the summer. The Woodcroft Community League is focused on being a neighbourhood that is inclusive to all and holds no bias against any individual regardless of their history, background, identity, or ability. We encourage our residents to get outside, create memories, build long lasting friendships, and engage in a community everyone can have a future in. We are adaptable and responsive to our residents' needs, providing relevant programming activities, including online experiences throughout the pandemic. When not interacting in person, we stay connected through our vibrant social media presence, emails and a quarterly printed and electronic newsletter. We support our residents and others in need through partnerships with the Woodcroft Community Playschool, the Brentwood Community Development Group, the Edmonton Food Bank, the Terra Centre, Edmonton Musical Theatre, Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club and the TELUS World of Science. We are actively engaging and collaborating with our surrounding communities. Our greatest asset is our people and their willingness to help others.
