Your Voice, Your Future: The Importance of Voting
By Samir Sleiman, Owner of Limitless Immigration Consulting.
Tomorrow, Canada votes — and I want to speak to you not just as the owner of Limitless Immigration Consulting, but as a proud Canadian who once stood where many newcomers stand today: full of hope, dreams, and gratitude.
I was born in Lebanon, a place where freedom and democracy were not always guaranteed. I know firsthand what it means to live in a country where your voice can be silenced. That’s why, when I became a Canadian citizen, the right to vote felt sacred to me — a true privilege, a responsibility, and a gift.
Voting is not just a political act; it is a celebration of our freedom, our dignity, and our hopes for a better tomorrow. It is our way of honoring those who came before us, who fought and sacrificed for the rights we enjoy today.
Tomorrow’s federal election is more than just a date. It is our moment to stand up, to be counted, and to say: I care about the future of this country. Every ballot cast is a voice heard, a dream respected, a hope carried forward.
Please, do not stay silent. Do not let this opportunity pass by. Whether you were born here or chose Canada as your home, your vote matters. Your dreams matter. Your voice matters.
Let’s make it count — together.
