EcoServices Network Building knowledge and capacity in support of conservation markets.

EcoServices Network connects and integrates key concepts, knowledge and approaches for ecosystem services and biodiversity across Alberta. We are a multidisciplinary group of experts working to implement an ecosystem services approach, by advancing the necessary components: Science, Data and Information Management, Market systems, and Policy. The network is delivered through a strategic alliance,

led by Alberta Innovates - Bio Solutions, and includes a network of experts from Alberta Innovates Technology Futures, Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute, Silvacom Group, The Land Stewardship Centre, Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency and the Government of Alberta.

The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA)’s Grassland Protocol provides a standardized approach to quantify, monitor and verify the greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions saved when landowners choose to retain grasslands at risk of conversion to other land uses that significantly disturb the soil.
This protocol resulted in the creation of the Forage BMP Manual.
