Edmonton Galleria The Edmonton Galleria Project is an exciting, not-for-profit downtown development that features four performing arts theatres and UofA campus facilities.

The Edmonton Galleria Project's vision is to build and successfully operate four performing arts theatres in downtown Edmonton, complemented with a University of Alberta campus for fine arts students, that are affordable, accessible and meet the needs of students, artists and performance companies, and to create a long term funding source for the benefit of the arts in Edmonton. Major benefits are

:

• Answers current and future demands for accessible, creative and affordable rehearsal and performance space in Edmonton.
• Creates a new, world class downtown campus that meets University of Alberta high priority needs and replaces existing campus facilities in dire need of replacement.
• Creates a self-funding Edmonton Cultural Trust Foundation, an additional funding source for arts facilities and programs in Edmonton.
• Supports City Council’s desire to revitalize downtown Edmonton
• Complements, strengthens and enhances the existing Arts District.
• Generates significant economic spin-offs.
• Large majority of funding coming from private contributions and sources.
• Requires no direct operating or maintenance subsides from the Government of Alberta or the City of Edmonton.
• The financial and operational risk is borne by the EDACC Foundation, not the City of Edmonton. The development of the Edmonton Galleria Project is a P4: a Philanthropic, Not-for-profit, Public, Private Partnership. All project revenue will be reinvested in the project. The self-sustaining financial model projects no operating or maintenance subsidies from the City of Edmonton. The location is north of 103A Avenue across from City Hall.

General information

The Edmonton Galleria Project is sponsored and led by the E-DACC Foundation. The Foundation will raise the required private capital and financing, and manage the development of the project for the benefit of the arts and all Edmontonians.
