Happy birthday to the Jim Jiwani Autism Academy!

This building opened its doors on September 12, 2024, and it remains our primary location for Elementary Education. We have Grade 1-4 classrooms, a Sensory Room, an outdoor play space, observation rooms, climbable lofts in the open area, a library, and office space upstairs.

Converted from an out of use car dealership and garage, the Academy was renovated with autism in mind, so the lights don't flicker, the floors don't squeak, and everything supports emotional regulation.

We only wish we could accommodate everyone in our school!

Happy New (School) Year!

We are looking forward to seeing the returning and new students as they come back to Early Education and Elementary Education this week.

We stagger our start dates to allow each student to have their own time and space to explore their classroom and meet their teacher.

As our Summer Camps have concluded, we want to give special recognition to our Summer Camp Workers! This year, we had an exceptional group, and they dove into their responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm. 
 
Some of our Summer Camp Workers are Educational Assistants or Respite Workers with us throughout the year, and some come to us for only the summer. Either way, the care they provide to each child and teen is incredible! From providing sensory support to facilitating meaningful engagement, these Workers individualize SCERTS strategies for every single child and teen.
 
Parent after parent tells us that they feel assured that our Summer Camp provides them with a real break, and it also provides a fun, engaging, and rewarding opportunity for the children. That couldn’t happen without our Summer Camp Workers! We couldn’t feature all of our Summer Camp Workers in this video (nor our Clinical Consultants who supported Campers as needed), but here’s a glimpse of some incredible moments this summer!
