In celebration of International Dance Day, community partners Alberta Ballet, Decidedly Jazz
Danceworks, and the Flamenco Show have generously donated tickets to upcoming
performances to share the love of dance with you. Three winners will be randomly drawn to
receive tickets to one of the following performances
Alberta Ballet's 60th Anniversary season! Two tickets to a show of their choice in the 2026/27
season, valued at approximately $400. Visit albertaballet.com after May 20, 2026 to make your

Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (DJDC), Calgary - Two tickets to their exciting upcoming January,
2027 show
Flamenco Show - Saturday May 28, at DJDC, Calgary. A collaboration between Western
Canadian flamenco dancers Claire Marchand (Winnipeg/Vancouver), Jane Ogilvie
(Edmonton/Calgary) and Rosanna Terracciano (Calgary). Following a sold-out 2025 tour, this
vibrant flamenco ensemble takes to the stage with returning special guests – Spanish Flamenco
singer and percussionist Francisco Orozco “Yiyi”
, and Vancouver Flamenco guitarist Peter Mole.

Free Contemporary Dance Class with Steph Lilley of Viva Dance Company
Class will kick off with an intentional warm-up including mobility, strength, and breath
work. Following, we will dance across-the-floor exercises focusing on quality of
movement, intention, and biomechanics. Class will culminate with a short
choreographed dance. My dance language is one of joy and authentic self-expression.

Edmonton 💃 Did you know our city is home to one of the most vibrant dance scenes in Canada?

This International Dance Day, members of the Edmonton dance community and the Alberta Dance Alliance are launching Dance Lives Here — a new initiative celebrating movement, creativity, and community.

Join us at Edmonton City Hall on April 29 from 12:15–1:00 PM for a FREE lunchtime event ✨
Expect live performances, inspiring speakers, and a first look at this exciting campaign supporting dance in Edmonton.

With 13 professional companies, 48 semi-pro groups, 43 independent artists, 79 recreational groups, 123 studios, and over 6,100 youth dancers… this city MOVES.
