Today at the Upper Bound AI Conference, the Government of Canada and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) announced the appointment and renewal of 42 Canada CIFAR AI Chairs. Through a $30-million investment from CIFAR, the University of Alberta and Amii have welcomed 25 new faculty members over the past three years in one of the largest academic investments in AI research in Canada.
