It is not my place to say I feel your pain. But I do understand that I can come alongside you in your pain and stand with you in your suffering. I cannot express the depth of apology I have for both my own actions, but my ancestors and I recognize that an apology will not fix the injustices the black community is still experiencing to this day. It is time to change, it has always been the time to change, and do better.

To all people, no matter who you are, we are here to serve and represent you.

I encourage you to read the letter below and for all of us to reflect on our actions and words, and to do better.

Below is a list of Black Canadian organizations that support communities across Canada. I encourage all of you to make some form of donation, no matter the size or value, and to truly think about what it means to support these organizations.
