💙 Men’s Group: Building Connections & Practical Skills

The Men’s Group got off to a fantastic start in July, with 11 clients joining the first session!🎉

The opening session, “Behind the Mask: Discovering the Man Behind the Role,” provided a meaningful space for participants to explore the many roles men play in their families and communities: as fathers, partners, friends, providers, and more. The discussion also highlighted the importance of setting healthy boundaries while supporting others. 💬🤝

The group continued with “The Toolbox: Building Practical Life Skills for Success in Canada,” focusing on practical skills and knowledge to help newcomers navigate everyday life and build confidence in their new community. 🔨

A big thank you to everyone who supported the Men’s Group launch through referrals, encouragement, and collaboration! 🫶

We look forward to seeing the group continue to connect, grow, and belong.💙

In July, LACE participants enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Islet Lake! 🌊

Our participants had the chance to:
⛺ Learn how to set up a tent
🥾 Explore the lake and forest on a guided hike
🦌 Discover local wildlife
🔥 Cook and enjoy hotdogs and s’mores together

A big thank you to Alberta Parks for organizing this wonderful experience and helping our clients connect with nature, learn new skills, and build meaningful community connections. 💚

We’re already looking forward to more adventures next year! 🌿✨
