🐴 FREE OPEN ARENA HORSE NIGHTS — Summer 2026!

Bring your horse and enjoy relaxed, friendly drop-in riding every Wednesday from June 10 to August 26, 2026, at the Laird Fairgrounds Horse Arena (127 Lake George Road East). 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

✨ Free weekly drop-in riding
✨ All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
✨ Fun, friendly community atmosphere

Please note: ➡️ There will be no Open Arena Night on Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day).

Important:
• A waiver and proof of equestrian liability insurance are
required before riding.
• Participants ride at their own risk.
• Please review the Waiver, Rules & Guidelines, and Horse Arena
Code of Conduct on our website (lairdtownship.ca) before
attending.

🚨 FLOOD WARNING – SAULT STE. MARIE / BLIND RIVER DISTRICT

The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a Flood Warning for our area until Thursday, April 30 at 12 PM.

Residents are asked to stay back from rivers and streams and keep a close eye on changing water conditions.

Flooding is currently occurring along:
• Blind River (downstream from Duborne Lake)
• Potomac River

High and rising water levels are also reported on parts of the Mississagi, Thessalon, Bar, Chippewa, and Goulais Rivers.

Warm temperatures, ongoing snowmelt, and 10–15 mm of rain expected this weekend may cause further increases.
